Finally, REAL classes. Say Whaat?

So Tuesday was my first real days. It was nothing exciting.. I had Food Safety, Product Knowledge and Culinary Mathematics. They are classes that are required for us, freshmen, have to take. If you guys were wondering what exactly the classes are about, I'll tell you.

Food Safety.
Pretty self explanatory. It is to teach us the safety procedures we must do in order to keep food safe. We are talking about Cross-Contamination, Cooking Food Properly and all that jazz. So it is interesting but also common sense. I am sure, it will get harder. I enjoy this class so far, and by the way the class is at 8:45-10:20.
(Every Tuesday and Wednesday)

Product Knowledge.
Again, kinda self explanatory. This class is to broaden our knowledge on the products. Here, we will look at different produce and be able to identify it. We will be doing a lot of tasting, smelling and feeling of the produce. I hear this class will beat my butt. And it will be difficult, but we will have to see. And this class is 10:30-12:05.
(Every Tuesday)

Culinary Mathematics.
Once more, self explanatory. Mathematics used for culinary purposes. So far it's all conversions. EASY. I convert recipes from like, let's say cups to pounds. So far I have dozed off in both my classes, only for like 5-10 minutes, no big deal. It is just so easy, and I understand it all, so when my professor explains all of it, I'm like OMG.. haha I have this class from 2:00-3:30.
 (Every Tuesday and Wednesday)

And now, to fill you in on my lunch. I had some food from Spain. I had Pollo al Chilindrones. Which is Sautéed Chicken Breast topped with Braised Peppers, Olives, Tomatoes and Ham with Green Beans and Potatoes. And I had a Cheese Plate with some Grapes. And I had a plate of Calamari and other squid/octopus dishes. And for dessert, some kind of Lime Marshmallow dessert and a Bread Pudding or something?

And for dinner, I had KOREAN FOOD. I know, I am awful for being excited about Korean food when I don't know the exact names of what I ate. It was Kalbi (Korean Barbecued Short Rib) with Rice and Chap Chae (A Cold Noodle Dish with Vegetables). And some Kimchi (A Spicy Pickled Cabbage) and Pajeon (An Egg Pancake thing) and a Kimchi Soup.

And so my journey continues...
